Welcome

Dear Bloggers from all over the Earth,

Welcome to "Millennium Development Goals - How achievable?"

Through this blog we all can communicate and express our opinions about the 8 MDG's and how easy or difficult they are to achieve before the approaching deadline - 2015.

The Millennium Development Goals were set out by the United Nations.

Here are a few sources to help you start:

Poverty - why and effects

As discussed in the last post and agreed by most, it is true that education, by far, is seen as a major issue in terms of poverty. I strongly believe that improving access to education is one way in which poverty will be reduced.

That brings me to another question for you.

What are the effects of poverty on certain countries? It would be great if you could discuss in terms of MEDC's and LEDC's.
Why is this state caused? Is it only (lack of) education? Or is it...?

I leave that for you to comment on.
